Kanthal Type Wire

We know that the KANTHAL A1 ™ brand name is regarded as a sign of quality. This KANTHAL A1 ™ resistance wire is sourced by The Crazy Wire Company from Sandvik in Sweden, who are the originators of the protected brand name KANTHAL A1 ™ wire.

What Is The Difference?

As well as stocking genuine KANTHAL A1™ resistance wire The Crazy Wire Company offer FeCrAl Alloy as a top quality alternative to KANTHAL A1™. FeCrAl Alloy is the metal type, so there is absolutely no difference in quality between KANTHAL A1™ and our own FeCrAl Alloy Wire.

About The Wire:
Chemical Composition:

C = Min – 0% Max – 0.08%
Si = Min – 0% Max – 0.7%
Mn = Min – 0% Max – 0.4%
Cr = Min – 20.5% Max – 23.5%
Al = Nominal Comp – 5.8% – Min – 0% – Max – 0%
Fe = BalanceNi80 wires are soft and are easy to handle and cut

Ni80 Nickel/Chrome Wire

Nickel chrome 80/20 is commonly used as a heat treatment wire. In modern times it has found popularity in the vaping industry due to its high heat and electrical resistance.

80/20 nickel-chromium alloy is often used for wrought and cast parts for high-temperature applications, as it has better oxidation and hot corrosion resistance compared to cheaper iron-nickel-chromium alloys. This nickel-chromium alloy is highly suited to applications that are subject to oxidation.
